I am still here with a few more pictures ... The strange animal is a pelican, and many were huge! They are beautiful to look at while eating, fill the eye of the fish (looks like a lot!), throw out the water and swallow their prey .. and those eyes that seem to have painted!

Pescara 2009 National Regatta

We, as the second national selection will also be true for the Mediterranean Games!
We arrived in Pescara a couple of days earlier to remove some rust from the Gears ...

Excellent Italian beginning of the season!

Saturday and Sunday we were at Andora, Liguria, for the first national regatta. It was for us the first real confrontation with our "enemies" Italians, after training and racing in Miami, and we managed to make it our own!

We win, thanks to constant on the upper floors and two first places (3-1-1-2-7 our part), followed by the Trieste-Sivitz Farnsworth (7-ocs-3-1-1) and cousins \u200b\u200bDubb (1-4-16-8-2).

Despite the weather not conducive to actually go out to sea, we spent four days training in Marina di Carrara. Four days of sun, but cold and wind from the south-west of variable intensity, from 5 to 18 knots ... A good session of maneuvers in view of the first commitment vacation in Italy, the national Andora (SV) next weekend ... this year, then the national races will count for the award of points for the "Coppa Italy IVF, one more reason to try to be a star!

We just got back from Miami, Florida ...

We took part in the second leg of the World Cup, January 26 to 31 in the crystal waters of the Bay Biskayne. Not a bad result, a good 5 degrees, in line with our expectations.

We were not many in the organization of such a long trip and the uncertainty of the beginning of the new four-year Olympic Miami led to "only" 18 men and 9 women's teams.

The level was high, 6 crews returning from the Beijing Olympics as many new and old that begin with the four new ambitions!

We chartered a Mackay in 2006 by American crew McNay-Biehl, a good boat with some layout different from ours, which has created some problems at first.

Miami, well, Miami ... the climate, the sun, the beaches ... say we can not do this race and indeed we are already planning the trip next year!
