Today I propose this wonderful batch of documents belonging to "KURT KLETT. Gefreiten The (Corporal) Klett later became Feldwebel (Sergeant) belonged to the 5th of 55 cp fanteria.Questo Rgt Rgt was inserted in the 17th Infantry Division which was engaged on the front since the early days of World War II in Poland, before being transferred to France June 22, 1941 and worked in Russia in the operation Barbarossa.Il our corporal Klett received his second EK probably for some action taken during the French campaign as evidenced by the date indicated on the beautiful variation of certificate signed by Capt. EK2 to the 17th Division Generalleutnant HERBERT LOCH (Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and Dkig June 16, 1940 April 22, 1942). The certificate for the IAB is hand signed by Capt. 55th Infantry Regiment Col. Specht.Legata the Russian campaign is certainly giving EK1 whose certificate, dated October 1941, is signed by Capt. division Generalleutnant Guntzel.Poi Klett lose our tracks until October 1943 when we find him after he was wounded for the 3rd time on 7/10/43.Da note that same day, 16/10/43, he was issued the document for the granting of the wounded black and silver, although it was already hurt the first time in 1941.Dieci days later, on 20 / 10 / 1943 he was wounded for the 4th time and he is given the badge for injured oro.Da that our Klett became Feldwebel and was transferred to the 9 th of 668 cp Grenadier Rgt, who in 1943 worked in Russia.Uno always enriched by the splendid lot of photos and the wonderful variant dell'EK2 Klett (never seen it until now!) of a soldier that the war has done .... and perhaps it never came back ...
